A BOOK REVIEW
by ELAINE KELSON
Imagine living in the 1930's running from an alien invasion or buying three foot statuary cats that come to life and attack. Bart Stewart's first book, Tales of Real and Dream Worlds, is a collection of stories that rev the imagination. I am one who loves reading books that keep me at the edge of my seat. This author uses his style like a bait to not just bring readers to the main point but reel them in, inch by inch, introducing colorful characters with lifestyles from lower to upper class.
Tales of Real and Dream Worlds provokes suspense. Some characters escape the brief violent events that occur, and some have misfortunate endings. I would have loved to know what happened to Farrell and his family after he kicked Preston, a stranger they met on the run, out of the car in the story "Theater on Air". Were they consumed by the aliens? But this is Bart Stewart's savoir-faire. He will take you for a ride you are sure to enjoy.
